Getting to Manipur was definitely a blog in itself but I’ll just keep that short & sweet! Our 2 day travel plan got turned into 5.. but we got to spend a night in Japan, and 2 days in Mumbai, how stinking awesome?! Never thought I’d ever step foot in Japan.
Every morning we start our day off with tea time at 6:30am. Then maybe a hike up Prayer Mountain or our own quiet time. At 8 we go to breakfast! Also, they only eat 2 meals but they said they made 3 for us Americans lol so today we got to join the littles in school! We got there and I was thinking yay so excited, we get to spilt into groups and have fun with these kids! No, I was put into a class with one teacher and her children! If you know me, I’m awkward??so we had some awkward silence and then told stories, asked questions, also I graded papers! We had a break and had chai (I’ve become a chai fanatic and LOVE it) then went back to the class, graded some papers and got to take over teaching her class! Then we got to P.E, the boys and girls were separated because the boys love to restle lol who knew?! Anyways that was great and I got to love on these kids!
Today we also got to help some students with their English and correct some of it. I had 2 students who shared their testimony with me & vise versa and we just chatted about the Lord. It was actually the best!! I like to think I taught them some things and helped them but truthfully, these guys helped and I definitely learned from them. And it’s only the first day!!!
Another thing I’m learning is even though I’m not great at sharing things, and expressing emotions and thoughts…when I do, it helps not only me, but others as well & it’s so good to do! I feel like my emotions are at an all time high right now. We were listening to the schools devotion/worship this morning and all I could do was cry just listening to these kids worship Jesus together.
Well that’s a little bit of just the 1 days we’ve got to interact and love these people! I’ll try to blog once a week and keep you all updated. Thank you all so much for your continued prayers and love.
