This semester has been very overwhelming and super busy. Therefore I am so sorry that I have not had the chance to create a true blog post, but from now on I am holding myself accountable to keep you all updated about how I plan for this trip and other things happening in my life. At the moment I have created and sent out my fundraising letters and hoping to get lots of responses.

The one thing that I wanted to start off as I begin this journey was to be able to have a bible verse that I keep with me throughout this time. I was sitting in church on Sunday and had just heard a wonderful sermon. After I had taken communion I looked up on the screen to start reading the verses that ran across. The first verse that popped up was Philippians 4 verses 6-7 which states “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This verse really hit home for me because although I can get very nervous as to what is to come, I am super excited and know that God will be with me every step of this journey.

I am so excited for these next coming months and to be able to meet new people. I will keep you updated as more things start to fall into place.
