78% funded and the yard sale raised over $500!

 

So many people in the community donated items and then showed up to shop! I’m truly grateful for the family that allowed me to use their yard and gave a hand in the entire process… and provided coffee! Fundraising is so much funner with such an incredible support system behind me! 

A local couple that stopped by is from Colombia and they were so kind and encouraging. When I was leaving the yard sale I noticed that out of the 3 directional signs that were put up at 6:30am, only 1 was still standing by 1pm. HA. Even without broadcasting that fact, there have been a handful of people that have asked how I raised this much money from a yard sale where clothing was only sold for $1… well..

Hi! I’m Kathryn and I’m in a season of fundraising for my 6 month mission trip with the World Race. I’m currently 54% funded, but there is still a lot to be raised!

I graduate with a business degree from Georgia Southern University in December, then I leave in January for South America! I’ll be spending 2 months in Medellin, Colombia working with Ciudad Refugio’s recovery programs. From there I’ll travel to Quito, Ecuador where my team and I will be serving with Inca Link who supports refugees. I’ll have opportunities to minister to human trafficked survivors, teach English, and lead Bible lessons to high schoolers. My last two months will be split between Lima, Peru where I’ll get to encourage local churches, and Cusco, Peru where I’ll be serving alongside Josephine House to care for children with special needs. 

I want to host a garage sale in the Statesboro, GA area to help raise community and financial support. I’m looking for a high-traffic area to host this shindig, along with items to sell! I currently have a variety of clothing and a little home decor… But I’d love anything you can bring to the table!
