What is an “Aspenator”? Denotatively, an Aspenator is anyone who lives free, dies hard, and loses their passport and water bottle all the time. In the context of the race, its our new team and we are Aspenators. Here’s the background on our team name, who we are, and how to read more about each of us.
Aspenator (noun): 1. One who lives free, dies hard, and loses their passport and water bottle all the time. 2. The hardest. Ever. Period.
Aspenators (plural noun) A recently constructed World Race team; six individuals mostly from the Western United States.
Welcome to ASPENATION – the region of the world where the Aspenators Aspenate.

What a great picture. Not sure why anyone is doing what they’re doing, but this was the first thing we did as a team and we’re kind of at the same point – where everyone just kind of does things and it works for us.
Aspen – The original Aspenator and now our fearless leader who no longer loses her passport OR water bottle. Originally a Racer, she’s done a wonderful job as a team leader. She claims she has no idea what she’s doing and for that reason, asks everyone what they think about everything. We think this is her super low-key SoCal vibe and in reality, she knows exactly what she’s doing but chooses to empower and uplift her team along the way. She’s from San Diego.
Dylan – A good ol’ boy from the Illinois-Kentucky line, but spent his college career, and time since then, in Alaska. He can fix anything… so we volunteer him to fix everything. This man has a heart for service; more than you’ve ever seen.
Sarah – A former middle school teacher (this woman has been blessed with patience) and author. Her blogs are super interesting and entertaining, but they also speak a lot of truth and marry experience with wisdom. She’s also from San Diego.
Jake – A man with a special heart for lost children; sets the bar for cultural sensitivity and assimilation. He’s a Story Teller for the organization, check his blog for great pictures and stories of what we’ve encountered so far. He’s from Iowa originally, but claims Colorado, where his fiance is waiting for him.
This is a fun team so far. We’ve only been together for a couple weeks, but we’re meshing well and getting to leverage everyone’s personalities, skill sets and giftings. Please continue reading our blogs to understand the power we bring to this region of the world.
