Dear friends and family, we are so excited to share with you that we are 100% funded!!! Thank you so much for all the financial and prayer support you have blessed us with. If not for all our great partnerships at home, we would never be able to serve as well as we are. We truly appreciate you more than we are able to express!

Now that we are no longer in need of financial support, we would like to share another opportunity with all of you. We are being hosted by the New Jerusalem Church in Kathmandu, Nepal. It’s a wonderful church that we get to be part of – the staff is a family of seven split between Gorkha, Nepal (parents) and Kathmandu (grandma and five children ages 12-28). Recently, the lead pastor in Kathmandu adopted a 17 year old from an orphanage called Happy Children Home to sponsor her into higher education. Sixteen is the legal age here so the orphanage is not technically able to support children beyond that. This young woman is ambitious, driven, and very smart – she’s been serving us as a friend and a translator since we joined the church.

We were blessed with an opportunity to visit Happy Children Home and are so happy to share that the children are wonderfully taken care of! We anticipated ministering to them, sharing love, and spreading happiness but we were completely overwhelmed by how they ministered to us, shared their love, and spread their happiness! All seventeen kids spoke great English, enjoyed studying, and were part of a family there. Most of them came from the tragic earthquake in 2015 that destroyed most of Nepal, but the family they are provided at Happy Children Home is absolutely beautiful.

We desire to partner with the New Jerusalem Church as well as the Happy Children Home and would like to extend the opportunity to you all. Please checkout the website (happychildrenhome.org) and consider supporting them with either a monthly or one time donation. The New Jerusalem Church can also receive donations to support their own ministry of purchasing food, Bibles, etc. If you are a monthly supporter would you please consider redirecting your donation from us to the orphanage or the church? It would make a tremendous difference for either of them. To provide some context, a Bible in Nepal costs around 350NPR (this is $3 USD) and is only available in two stores in Kathmandu (a church we visited only had six Bibles for the entire congregation). Think about what the church could do with a $50USD donation, and how much more with a $50 monthly donation! The orphanage costs about 30,000NPR a month to maintain. This is $262.54USD. A $50USD monthly donation here would relieve a lot of pressure from the staff – the orphanage is essentially existing month to month because all funds they are able to raise go to food and education, not meeting government regulations for business ownership (an on-going point of contention). The faith the staff has in God and how they share it with the children is inspiring and is something I wish we all could experience.

A couple of our teammates are still raising support as well! There’s a deadline of $13,000 by the end of the month, and full funding by the end of November. If you feel led, you can donate on their blog pages: Hannah Sahatoo, Jewel MacauleySam Serrano

Again, thank you so much for all your support and faith in us! If you do have a monthly donation scheduled, you will need to cancel it by logging into your account. Any donations received from here on out will go into the World Race general fund and will not benefit our team directly. Whether you’re a monthly supporter, donated one time, or haven’t supported financially, we would love if you would consider helping us spread Jesus’ love in this way. We are all so blessed to live in America, and a little sacrifice from us can go a long way.

We love you all,
John and Victoria
