Pura Vida! We are in Costa Rica for month two of this journey. We have only been here for a few days, but God has already put some blessings and challenges brought before me and my team. Through God’s grace we will overcome and continue to receive good gifts from above.
The main challenge that my team and I are facing this month is the fact that no one speaks English. Literally no one. Not our host, or the villagers. It is awesome!!! Our group has a limited knowledge of Spanish, and I speak the most Spanish out of anyone in our group. There is a lot of pressure translating and working together to communicate with, minister to, and teach English to a wonderful group of people.
The people here in Térraba are so pleasant. Maria and Roberto have been such gracious hosts. Maria specifically has given us a place to stay, a schedule to follow, and amazing opportunities for ministry. She has worked hard to make us comfortable and keep us hard at working. Eulalia is another wonderful woman who has helped us evangelize and visit the people of the town. We were able to pray with an elderly woman named Clementina who was burdened for her children’s physical and spiritual health. Clementina was able to say she was content in the lord and that she had faith for the healing of her children. She also gave us some tasty fruit from her yard that we gratefully accepted!
This is only the very beginning of the month. God will continue to bring people into our lives so that we can minister to them and share the love of Christ with them. Thank you for reading, and please consider donating. The lord has blessed in these shorts 2 months, and he will continue to bless with help from those whom the Spirit is leading. Muchas gracias!
