Hello!

Thanks for visiting my blog! Here I will post updates about my trip, what I am learning, how God is moving and just fun things and experiences, so be sure to subscribe!

JESUS! He is so good! He is the reason I live and do what I do. I wouldn’t be where I am today without His continual pursuit of me and the deep ocean of love that He continues to pour out over me. This past year I have been learning so much about who God is and what it looks like to live out my relationship with Him in a deeper way. I am learning a lot in this season regarding surrender, stepping out in faith, saying yes to God and letting His Spirit lead me. Here is a little bit about my story on how God has been pointing me in the direction of this trip to Thailand and Cambodia.

Last April, God began calling me to start an International Justice Mission (IJM) chapter on my campus. IJM is the largest Christian anti-trafficking organization in the world. They rescue people from trafficking, help to bring justice in convictions, and provide healing programs to those who have experienced trafficking and forced labor. 40 million people are slaves around the world today, which is a staggering number. Some of these slaves are in Thailand and Cambodia trapped in the fishing industry or in sex trafficking. Through bringing awareness to others around me, and hearing stories of people rescued from slavery, God has been softening my heart for the nations of Thailand and Cambodia.

In September, I was in a prayer group praying for the Nations, and one week I got to choose a country to pray for and God led me to pray for Cambodia. Shortly after that, I was at a women’s breakfast at my church and I was praying for God to take the pen and write the story of my life. I felt God asking me, “Will you go to Cambodia?”

I started trusting God that He would lead me to the right missions trip. My church, although they are very missions focused, isn’t sending groups to Cambodia this summer. In the beginning of January, God reminded me of World Race Semesters (something I had heard about in high school). I got accepted and now I am so excited to be going to both Thailand and Cambodia to share about Jesus and work with various ministries there! I will get the opportunity to partner with local churches by helping to teach English, working in orphanages, going on evangelism outreaches, and helping with kids and youth camps.

I am going to Thailand and Cambodia because God has given me a heart for these countries and because we are called as Christians to tell others about Jesus and what He has done in our lives! I am so excited about the prospect of seeing the beautiful people of Thailand and Cambodia and getting to share with them the HOPE we have in Him. A great injustice in the world is that some haven’t heard about Jesus. Jesus has called us to go and share with others His light and love! There is no greater assignment than to live our lives following and walking with God!

I know God will do amazing things in the lives of the people we meet, and in growing me and the other members of my team. Please pray that the people we will encounter will have open and hungry hearts for Jesus and that they can know the truth about God’s love for them. Please also pray for my team and I as we prepare to go this summer and raise support.

Thank you!
