Dear Men,

What have we become? What is being a man look like to you? The world describes the man a someone who has their head right between the shoulders, successful, pretty much materialistic things. Often in this broken world, a man has done more than these things. They have proved that no guy is worthy of being in LOVE with a woman. You see many times “men” being arrested for domestic abuse, but we still call them a men. That is a boy. That is a boy, inside of a man’s body, covering up for something that may have happened in the past. Paul writes it the best, “When I was a child I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me” (1 Corinthians 13:11). There is no excuse to treat any woman or any person in that manner.

Over the last month, I have felt a change in my heart. The smile of a woman is worth more than anything you can ask for, but when you see that change it’s time to step up. There is no reason that a woman, especially a woman of God, should not be smiling. As a man, I felt like I let them down when their smiles disappeared. I did not step up as a Man of God and do something. There needs to be a change in the “men of God” today. Don’t be afraid to step up and share what’s on your heart. You might be surprised at the responses you’ll get. I sure was after I sent an apology to the lovely Agape Girls.

I want to apologize to all the women out there. I apologize for my actions of making it seem like you are lesser than I am. I don’t want to degrade you in anyway. I know behind closed doors I have done things that have not been honorable to my future wife and any other woman out there. Y’all are beautifully and wonderfully made and you should be treated at the highest respect. I apologize for the behavior of all other men out there. I don’t get agree with what they did to you, but know that there are real men out there that want the best for you. They will love you to the best of their ability emotionally, physically, spiritually, whatever else you can think of.

God will provide. God will check you heart, men. Check you own heart as well. Make sure you have the right intentions and motivations behind your actions. Don’t treat anyone, especially women, in a derogatory manner. They deserve more than you’ll ever give them, so focus on God and let Him do the rest. I’m tired of taking on a bad rep for what you have done. Own your actions and never do it again. We are not animals. We were created to rule over the animals and live in unison with God and women. Treat them like they are your sister because they are in Christ. They are made to rule with us. Treat them like it. Be the leader God has called you to be.

Thank you for reading this. It’s been sitting on my heart for the past couple days and want you to hear this. Step up and be a real Man of God. I’m tired of acting like a ‘boy,’ it’s time the I start stepping up and showing the world what this Man of God looks like.

With All My Love,
Jason
