So after many months of training and preparation and after many MANY hours of plane rides we finally arrived in Thailand! A bed has never looked more appealing to me before! Even though it’s very hot and different from what I’m used to I am currently very excited to be here in Thailand. While my conversations with the locals have been very brief they seem like very nice and genuine people; even when I mispronounce ‘Sà wàtdii’ for the 50th time today. I’m very grateful that the locals are willing to put up with our ignorance of their cultural norms.
It’s very interesting to see all the shrines and statues around the city along with the total lack of stop signs and proper traffic laws. Massage Parlors and the smell of street food seem to cover every corner the city. I am looking forward to ministering and getting to know the people here better!
