Hey Everyone! I just wanted to introduce all of you to my wonderful team. Within our squad of about 40 ish we are split into smaller groups called teams. Teams are made up of 6-9 people. There are 6 lovely ladies that I do ministry with and will be for the next 8 and a half ish months (sorry for all the unsure numbers it’s a lot and hard to keep track of sometimes lol) We live together, grow together, support each other, pray together, we basically just live life together and it’s pretty awesome. Enough about that, let’s “meet them”:
Acacia (yes, like the tree) is our fabulous Alumni Team Leader. She is the sweetest ever!! She is always there for us, asking about what we need and how she can pray for us. She went on the race last year and she is with us now to guide us so we have an easier transition into the “racer life”. Sadly, she will only be with us for the first three months of our race before she goes home while we head to Ecuador 🙁 But until then we have a sweet, goofy, fun-loving member of our little team.
Skylar is fun and happy. I don’t know how, but she actually convinced me to get up and “work out” with her the other day. She’s so funny and brings a spirit of kindness and maturity to the team. She loves the Lord and brings words of wisdom to all of us.
Anna Wilkerson is so funny and makes us laugh all. the. time. She’s a super talented singer. She loves to worship all the time is so loving. She brings our team a spirit of goodness and is so encouraging in the way that she worships and follows Jesus.
Anna Scott brings to much joy to every room she walks into. We’ve been trying to get her used to being called Scott so we don’t get the Annas confused…she’s still working on it. She’s always smiling and her laughter is contagious! What a fun girl to hang out with and also a great hugger.
Reagan is another amazing musician. WOW! She is so awesome. She is kind and smart and and her faith is such and encouragement to the rest of us. She loves to worship and to get up early for the sunrise (so cute) She brings to much comfort to the team.
Colby likes to classify herself as a grandma just because she goes to bed a little early. We love her for it. She is always to encouraging and uplifting of everyone around her as well as patient and full of wisdom. She’s so great to talk to about anything and ready to listen.
Our team name is Refinement. We chose our team name to signify how we want to be shaped and molded (refined) by Christ to be more like him.
I am so extremely excited to grow and learn more about the Father with these beautiful, Christ centered people. I can’t wait to get to know them even better and continue strengthening our faith and roots in Jesus.
