I got the international missions bug in March of 2017. Which was exactly two years prior to the day I got the acceptance phone call to go on the World Race (crazy how God works!). Four days in Guatemala had changed my life (imagine the impact of three months in Guatemala, Ethiopia, AND Thailand!!!!) … God had changed my life. Ever since then, I did everything to bring that fire and passion I found back to my community at home (one world club anyone??? If you know you know) and to spread this love I had encountered. This was the start of my work to fuel my passion for community and for Jesus in everything I do!

So over the course of two years after I came home from Guatemala, God told me “bring My light and your fire and passion to the whole world”. I received that call and literally put it on the back burner. “No God, that isn’t possible for me right now”, I said. I assumed I would “go” like He said when I was better equipped and had more experience. Changing the world was gonna be an after college thing. I had spent my time making so many plans for myself that I didn’t realize that I was so blind to the perfect plan God had for me.

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.”

Then in a blink of an eye I found myself making a powerpoint presentation in an effort to convince my parents to give me their blessing to go on the race. God was making a way for this to happen for me even when I thought it was impossible. God was using me even when I felt unequipped. God was planning on taking me on a 9 month long mission trip even though my first mission was only four days long.

Listen here: God uses us, the unequipped, so we can truly rely on Him in every aspect of our lives. I have learned that I have no ability to do this on my own and going on the race is going to take some serious trust and reliance on Him.

Wow. To live in such a time as this.

The World Race is already so special to me because I know I am going to experience community like never before. Community with my squad. Community with my leaders. Community with people half way across the world from me right now. The amazing thing is, I hardly know any of their names. I have connections with people who I don’t even know yet. To me, that is a huge testament to how God works. He is the everlasting Peace that binds together all humanity.

Now you have gotten a piece of my testimony, this is how this is all gonna work. I have to raise 16,600 dollars. This money covers lodging, food, flights, and travel and medical insurance. My first deadline is 5,000 dollars by the beginning of June, which is right when I am off to training camp in Gainesville, Georgia.

I’m gonna need all the help I can get. And the beauty of it all is that I have peace knowing God will provide.

If you are being led to give, there is a donate button at the top of my profile that has your name all over it. Not only with your financial gifts, but with your PRAYER, you are helping me, you are helping my entire squad, AND you are contributing to the Kingdom of God!!!!!

Thank you for reading my first blog post EVER. Thank you for the love. Thank you for the support.

I thank God for each and every person reading this right now.

Blessings,
