Hey everyone!

This week in Swaziland was amazing! The guys had a lot of variety in our ministry which was awesome.

On Tuesday half of the guys went to the prison while the other half stayed back and prayed. I stayed back to pray and it was really cool to see how God was answering our prayers as we were praying them. Matthew, Parker, Champ, and our squad leader Samuel all went to the prison, and they said that it was a great time of sharing their stories and getting to know some of the prisoners. I’m excited to go today and build relationships with the guys that I’ll hopefully be able to see grow over the course of the next three months.

Wednesday we were assigned with the task of building a community basketball court. We went over to the court in the morning and spent the day digging up grass that had been growing in the dirt, and trying to make it so that people would be able to eventually play basketball there. It was very hot and sunny, but it was nice to get outside and do some manual labor, plus we got muffins and the oh so coveted cold water (shoutout Steven and his family!).

On Thursday my team and Team Auxano (one of the girls teams) went out to the big market area called Matata in Nsoko to evangelize to the people there. We spent the day meeting people and trying to build relationships with the men who work around there so that we’ll be able to continue talking to them every time we go over the next couple months. We went back on Saturday for our free day and got to see some of the same people, and it was fun seeing how they remembered us and were happy to see us again. I’m excited to see how God allows us to continue to grow those relationships and use them to bring the men we met into a relationship with him.

On Friday the guys had the opportunity to go to a care point with team Yes (another one of the girls teams). We got to spend the day playing with kids and loving them. It was a rewarding and fun day, but I was exhausted by the end of it, especially because we had to walk a total of five miles in the sun to get to the care point and back. I grew to have a great appreciation for what the girls do every day and how they still manage to have energy and talk to us when they get back in the evening.

Update on the rooster: He still crows every single morning and I can’t say that I have grown to appreciate him any more, but I think that my mind has learned to completely block him out when I’m asleep, which I am quite thankful for. He also seems to crow every time we pray, so maybe he just needs Jesus.

All in all this week was awesome, and God has been continuing to show up in everything! Thanks for reading!
