A team that slides in a self-made slip in slide together, stays together
In the pouring rain, P31 ran into the storm and began singing and shouting “I’m gonna sing, in the middle of the storm. Louder and louder, you’re gonna hear my praises roar!”
God shows himself in so many ways; ways that I can’t even comprehend. Running straight into the rain instead of snuggling up in my bed and watching a downloaded movie on my computer, is the perfect example of this.
Instantly after running into the storm, we were drenched. Our clothes were sticking to us, our hair was dripping, and we loved it.
We found a puddle in the grass, and as any normal 18-20 year olds, we found fun ways to play in it. I slid across the puddle like a slip and slide and got even more soaked than I was before. The amount of laughter and joy coming from these girls, my team, had God smiling down at us.
You might think that the fun ends here, but boy are you wrong. We were all shivering from this rain and were all covered in grass from rolling around in it, so we decided to go inside. Our dripping selves walked into our dry room and straight into the shower.
Clothed!!! We all stood in the shower and let the water run hot. We took turns putting our heads under the water and warming up. We then decided as a team to have our team time right there in the shower.
This team is so full of joy and love, and it proves just how much we are all supposed to be together!!!
Something that I realized is that we are a team of seven. For the longest time I thought that meant that we had too many, and that there will always be an odd one out, but then God told me that seven is His number. Yeah, we have a big team, but whenever the number seven is used in the Bible, it is holy. For example, in Joshua 6, God tells Joshua to walk around the walls of Jericho once for six days, and seven times on the seventh day. Here, seven is used twice! Seven is a holy number, and P31 is a team of seven.
