Hey guys! I want to start off by saying that I am so thankful that you took the time to learn a little about what I am about to start in September. This is my blog that I am going to use to keep you updated about what is going on during the whole fundraising and starting process, and during the World Race itself.
I struggle with writing, so I will be (attempting) to update my blog weekly, (from now on)!
The World Race is a 9 month missions trip where I will be going to Guatemala for 3 months, Ethiopia for 3 months, and Thailand for the last three. While I go on this trip, I am only allowed to bring ONE bag. It still seems crazy!
Lately I have been hearing God tell me one word, “Strength”. Bible passages I read, words in books, sermons at church, and other seemingly random moments have shown me some form of strength. I believe that I am going to need lots of this in the months to come; during the fundraising, preparing, and starting process. My theme for this journey is “Finding the Strength in the Weak”, it may seem cliche, but I believe that this is going to help me to keep going when I feel exhausted, homesick, and frightened by all of the new experiences that I am going to face.
