Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Proverbs 3:5-6

God changed my plans.

Correction–I finally paused to realize I was making my own plans instead of asking for God’s plans.

I wasn’t straying from Him, but I was forcing what I wanted instead of submitting to God.

God revealed that I was following my own plans a week before training camp. In that moment, I stopped in my tracks and asked, “Lord, where do you want me?”

Sure enough, He showed up. I made the space for God to come in and show me the straight path, and He did.

I was called to be obedient. I was called to trust God and submit to Him because He will make everything right.

So I did exactly that.

And He did exactly that.

I stepped into what God wanted me to do in Philadelphia. He opened crazy doors that I would’ve missed out on. He taught and equipped me for the season I was stepping in to.

God did not forget my desires. He showed me a new plan–a better plan.

I’ve been hesitant to announce this because I was afraid it wouldn’t happen, but God has affirmed me in His promise.

I’m excited to announce that I will be going to Ghana in June 2020. I will be spending the month loving and teaching children who’ve been trafficked, abandoned, or orphaned, and I will have the opportunity to help women build businesses and learn skills.

I am over the moon about this mission. This season is better than anything I could’ve imagined. Please pray for me, my team, and the people in Ghana.
