“God has given me this vision of a room full of mirrors, each mirror is a person. All of the mirrors reflect one another. Humankind reflecting all of our own sinfulness. There is no hope for this endless reflection of sin and death. The only hope is a divine touch from Heaven. It is radical, it is a miracle. God touches one of the mirrors. Divine romance. He tilts the mirror so that it points upwards at Him. The mirror is now reflecting God’s glory. For the rest of eternity the mirror gets to gaze into the eyes and the beauty of the Father. While in Guatemala I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to hear and witness testimony after testimony of what God is doing here. I’ve heard my squad-mates rejoice over personal freedom, I’ve seen children smile with joy in the midst of broken homes, I’ve prayed peace over moms whose children have passed away, God has pruned me by taking away more and more of my pride and taught me how to be a child. And while I’ve witnessed all of these amazing things God is doing… all I’ve been able to think is, “wow, this is what God does.”
This. Is. What. He. Does!!! Woah!! Jesus is the divine touch from Heaven! He is the way when there is no other way!! Jesus is the Truth in the midst of lies, He is the peace in the midst of chaos, He turns our ashes into beautiful masterpieces!! Ever single time that someone shows the kindness or love or joy of the Lord, they are being living proof of His glory!! They might as well have “this is what God does” written on the back of their t-shirt.
I’ve been wrecked by this simple Truth. Woah, there is freedom in childlike faith.
So I want to challenge you today… begin living in your identity as a child of God. Here it is: “living proof of the glory of God.” You are the proof. Come on, people let’s rejoice!!
