Hi friends! Today I wanna let you into something that Jesus has been teaching me lately… how to be a kid. Better yet… how to be His kid. Wow that is a powerful identity to have.
Here is an excerpt from one of my recent journal entries:
“God is reminding me that in my weakness, He is powerful. When I come before Him weeping like a child, He fights for me. I am His child and He is a good Father. I can’t, but Jesus can.”
Wow, knowing that I am His daughter is powerful. Thank you Jesus that you are a good Abba Father.
In the past it has been so easy for me to fall into the lie that in order to glorify God I must do x, y and z. I fully believe that there is nothing I could do to make God love me any more or less, but my deep desire to make God proud of my ability to glorify Him, has made me lose sight of the fact that He is already so proud of me. He is proud of me when I dance for joy before Him. He is proud of me when I cry like a baby in His arms. He is proud of me when I shout His name on the mountaintop. He is proud of me when I tell one person that Jesus is Lord. He is proud of me because of who He is and who I am as His daughter. Think about that. This is freedom.
Jesus wants you to be His kid. I promise you, He is the best Father. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He wants your heart posture to be complete surrender at His feet. I promise that He will prove Himself to be gentle and kind, and loving and honest. Because that is who He is. God is a good Abba Father. He loves you and I so much. Thanks, God for who you are. I love you, Jesus.
