On March 9th, 2019 I was able to hold my first big fundraiser for my Mission to Swaziland this summer! It was such a huge success.

When deciding what I wanted to do for my first fundraiser I asked God to guide me to what I was supposed to do. I felt the urge to do something family oriented. I decided to have a spaghetti dinner fundraiser at my local fire department. There was tons of pasta, salad, desserts, and worship.

I got to spend a night telling all of my closest family and friends about what the Lord has laid on my heart to do this summer. We ate, prayed, and even had the opportunity to worship over what was to come. My incredibly talented friend Meghan performed five different worship songs for us all that night. My one recommendation was for her to play Reckless Love. This song never fails to move me to tears. It reminds me that through all my mistakes and struggles that there is absolutely nothing my heavenly father won’t do for me. That song has gotten me through my journey to the world race semesters so far, I only saw it fitting to play it that night.

After all the stressful planning, making sure everyone was accounted for and happy, and even decorating the fire department with the Swaziland stamp of approval, it was truly beautiful to see all the people God had placed there that night to help me, and even remind them of his glory.

And for those of you wondering, by the end of the night I was able to collect $700 dollars to put towards my trip! I can’t wait to see what the next part of this journey has in store for me! Through this process of fundraising, He has humbled me and reminded me that He really does have my back. TRUST IN HIM AND HE WILL PROVIDE!
