Whenever you think about the Bible you normally think of your favorite verse, or maybe one of your favorite stories from the Old Testament right? That’s what I love about the Bible is that it’s so alive that almost every story can jump out and reach someone and bring them into the Gospel. By far one of my favorite passages is Matthew 14:22-33 this amazing passage where Jesus walks on water, and most people immediately think “wow how awesome is it that he was able to walk on the water”! But, what I think is even more awesome than Jesus Walking on Water is during verse 28-29 when we see Peter calling out to Jesus, saying: “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water” Matthew 14:28 NIV, and all Jesus has to do is say come. We then see Peter step out of the boat and walk towards Jesus. How crazy is that? Peter is that committed to his faith in Jesus that he’ll step out into open water to get to Jesus, and I think that’s why this passage speaks so much to me. It’s my prayer that you the reader can be able to take that step towards Jesus wherever he is leading you!
