It’s been a while since I posted a blog… Since then we’ve had a whole month of ministry and we are now in Zimbabwe!!
The first Month in South Africa was amazing! We had so many different opportunities doing ministry. We got to go out and do door to door evangelism two or three times a week. Every Friday we put on a Vacation Bible School for the kids in a few different communities.
On Wednesdays my team got to go teach some classes at a high school each week (Probably my favorite ministry). One of the days we taught a lesson called “Natural High”. We talked about what we are naturally good at, and that God has given each of us talents and gifts and passions to use to glorify him.

When teaching the lesson I mentioned that my natural high was that I liked to sing. Quickly after saying that the whole class started chanting “Sing, Sing, Sing!” I was caught off guard and my mind completely blanked of every song I knew the words to.
I remembered that I had some lyrics to a few songs by Ed Sheeran on my phone, so I ended up singing some love songs in front of class of high school students. It turned out to be really fun.

After we finished teaching for the day we were walking to the parking lot when this girl walked up to us and ask if we knew anything about photography.
Her name was Lashean, and she was about to graduated from high school and wanted to start a photography business after she graduated.
One of my teammates Jamie has experience with photography and was able to give her a few pointers. We were able to pray that God would bless her and the business she wanted to start.
Here in Africa it’s hard for kids to get motivated and actual go after a dream, so it was really cool to see one of the students actual stepping up and wanting to pursue a passion that God had given her.
I just want to thank everyone who has supported me financially and who is praying for me. I’ve seen God move in so many ways just in the first month and I can’t wait for the next 10! I am still raising support to continue my year of ministry, so if you want to give, please click the link to my page below..
In Christ,
Daniel M.
