Hello!

My name is Dana Seward. I’m not great at blogging or “about me’s” so bear with me!

I’m from a small town in Idaho and have lived here all my life. I grew up in a family of farmers and ranchers. Consequently, I grew up riding in tractors, playing in the mud, riding horses, helping work the cattle, playing outside with my little sister, working hard, and eating really good food!

I am so thankful for my roots and the way I was raised. The simplicity of life as a farm kid has been influential in the person I have grown into today. I have had some amazing mentors who have often compared life to tractors and straight rows and somehow it makes the most sense. I love my family so very much and you probably couldn’t find someone more proud to be a Seward!

Anywayyys.. I guess more “about me”…

First and foremost, I really really love Jesus and I’m so thankful that I have the greatest gift of being able to know Him and serve him.

I truly believe God has called me to serve others specifically by pursuing a career in nursing. I am currently in the nursing program at Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho pursuing my Bachelors in Science and Nursing. I love the program and I have made some of the best friends through all the study sessions and mutual MAJOR stress-fests.

Aside from the nursing program, I have been involved in worship band here at NNU and also hope to soon be more involved with prison ministries. I also work at the local hospital as a CNA, and I love it!

Another thing you should know is that I LOVE music. I grew up singing in a trio with my mom and sister. My mom’s side of the family is definitely musically gifted and they were a big part in cultivating my passion for music! I have played the fiddle for about 10 years and throughout that time have been a part of a few different bands playing and singing. Playing with so many talented musicians has helped me learn so much! I have always loved being a part of worship teams and just enjoying a good old fashioned jam session!

Some of my hobbies include drawing, writing, hiking, reading, and working cows with my pops. I love being in nature and exploring all the beautiful place God has created. Alsooo I really like to laugh, a lot…

Since last year when I went on my first international mission trip to Guatemala God has set a tenderness and calling (if you will) for missions. This year God opened up many many doors to give me this wonderful opportunity to go to Thailand and Cambodia where I will be able to learn so much about His people and myself. I hope that you will keep me and my teammates in your prayers as we go on this amazing journey together! I will try my best to keep you all updated on the mission as we go along!

That’s all for now!
Blessings (:
