Thank you for pouring into me so much. I came to Guatemala to pour out but I didn’t know how much I’d get poured into. Thank you to every person that impacted my life while i was living in Guatemala.
Thank you Gabe for speaking so much life over me and believing in the spiritual gifts I didn’t know I had. You’ve inspired me to chase after the Lord with full force.
Thank you Sabrina for being so easy to talk to and letting me talk your ear off. You’re constant love and support really helped me and seeing your smiling face always brightened my day.
Thank you Mae for your wisdom and motherly love on me. You’re heart for God is amazing and I’m so glad I had you as a mentor. I hope I can become even half the woman you are.
Thank you Kelsey for your constant support and advice. Thank you for being so open and willing to share your wisdom.
Thank you Hannah for being such a good friend to me. Although you were only at the base during our last month it really felt like you’d been there the whole time.
Thank you Tanja for being our base mum. You are so kind and you made living in Guatemala go so smooth.
Thank you Kevin for sharing your passion for the Bible with us and encouraging us to dive deep. Your gift of knowledge and wisdom is so special and I’m so grateful that you decided to share that with us.
Thank you Sandra and Teresa for not only cooking our squad’s food, but also for pouring into me so much. I’m so glad that language barriers never got in the way of us becoming close. I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but, te quiero mucho y gracias para ser mi mamá mientras en Guatemala.
Thank you Brayan for being so kind to us. For leading us so well while also filling a little brother role. For laughing with us, praying with us, teaching with us, playing with us, and joking around with us. I will drink out of the mug you gave me every single Christmas. If I’m being totally honest I’ll probably drink out of it everyday but still.
Thank you Josefina for caring about us so much. Your heart for missionaries is insane. When we came back to your house, multiple times, in the pouring rain from a house visit, you saw us and immediately ran to get hot drinks and blankets for us. I hope you know how much we appreciated that. Not just because we were very cold, but also because it was a motherly touch we didn’t know we needed. While we’ve been so far away from our families, it was comforting having a mother figure through you.
Thank you to all the alumni team leaders; Emma, Lexi and Connaly. For pouring into me so much and joking around with me. You guys were such a fun presence on this squad. I’m so glad Brittany is staying with us but I wish you all could stay with us.
Thank you Anabelle. For all the weird jokes, laughing at the strangest things, and comforting us when we were sad. Thank you for helping me break down my walls and loving me the same. I want you to know that we do have that picture of you on the wall haha! Thank you for not judging us and being so so silly with us. Thank you for teaching me what it looks like to chase after the Lord with your whole heart.
Thank you Guatemala. For all the amazing memories, break throughs, baptisms, relationships, laughs, and everything in between.
See you soon!
