Hello there!

I’m so excited to share with you that I’m going on the World Race Gap Year 2019! I’m so so excited (and slightly nervous) to get out of the classroom and start serving people in communities all across the world! My name is Chelsea Adamson, I’m an 18-year-old Aussie living in Georgia, USA. I love music, tacos, Harry Potter, and coffee. Going on random outings with my friends hold a place in my top five favorite things to do, as well as singing (more like screaming) Queen in the car with my family.

I love my family so much and knowing I’ll be away from them for nine months is a crazy thought. My parents and my little sisters, Ella and Jordyn, laugh together ALL THE TIME. We have more inside jokes than a group of high school students that have known each other since birth (because we actually have).

I love my volunteer groups at church. I’m a worship leader in the preschool environment, Waumba Land, and I honestly don’t know what I’m going to do without my team for so long as they’ve become my second family. I also volunteer at our monthly show for elementary aged kids, KidStuf! There I’m a backstage manager and love doing it every month.

My small group is amazing too! We’ve gone through all the ups and down of high school together and I love them all to pieces.

These support groups I have around have had a huge part in my life, and I’m crazy grateful for all the people I have around me. It hasn’t began to sink in that for nine months I won’t have them all immediately around me.

I know God is going to do great things on the World Race and I’m pumped to see what He is going to do through me and the other people in my squad. I can’t wait to see His light shine in Guatemala, Ethiopia and Thailand. I hope you subscribe to my blog and enjoy reading about my journey and maybe you could even become apart of it!

See you soon!
