Costa Rica came and went way too quickly. There are so many things I could say about my time there. I learned more than I thought I was and I left with so many memories that I hold so close to my heart. There’s no real way to describe everything about Costa Rica in one single blog but here are some lessons/thoughts/bullet points/ praise reports whatever you want to call it !!

One time during week one I ran into a bathroom door from laughing so hard I thought I was going to pee my pants ~ and got a concussion!

Thanks Jesus for teaching me how to find a rhythm of rest.

Spending my entire 20th birthday at the ER yet still having fun.

Thanks Jesus for Kacie Tillman, Bernadette, and McDonalds uber eats.

Squad church at home around a campfire.

Thanks Jesus for sweet fellowship.

Alfredo driving the bus. Dancing, singing, laughing and mocking us.

Thanks Jesus for showing me love + joy have no language barriers.

Those nights when you can smell the fried plantains coming from the kitchen. That’s when you knew dinner was gonna be gooood.

Thanks Jesus for Xinia, her gentle generous heart, and some good ‘ole plantains.

That night I sat in on my brothers wedding sitting in a local cafe.

Thanks Jesus for FaceTime.

One time Sydney straight up peed her pants on the walk home and we were late to worship. So she walked into worship that way.

Thanks Jesus for that because I laughed a lot.

Bernadette’s essential oils and Gemmas rain sounds.

Thanks Jesus for great daily sleepovers.

Those three months I LIVED in Costa Rica.

One of our last nights in Costa Rica one of my squadmates and brother, Justin, shared with us how this isn’t the end of a season it’s that this season has come to completion. I love that. God isn’t done working in Costa Rica just because we left. We didn’t leave when everything was about to start. Our time in Costa Rica didn’t come to an end, that season of the race came to a completion. Costa was a beautiful chapter of this story I get to call the world race.

Thank you Jesus for blessing me in ways I could have never imagined. Thank you that you take the little things and make them some of the best things. Thank you that hard things turn into good things. Thank you Jesus for each and every person I had the pleasure of knowing in Costa Rica. Thank you for the memories you gifted me with from there and thank you for the brothers and sisters that walked through Costa with me. I could go on and on about the little things and the big things that happened during my time in Costa Rica. Maybe one day I’ll write it all in a book. Or maybe I’ll tell my kids around the dinner table. Maybe I’ll do both. Goodbye Costa, you were good to me. Gracias A Dios.

Thanks for reading.

Love always, Cass
