Hi friends,

First off, I’d like to Thank each and everyone of you for all the love and support you’ve shown me. So many of you have been giving me so much support financially, prayerfully, and even just by sending your encouraging words my way. Between trying to finish my first year of college strong all while preparing for my trip this coming fall it has been a crazy busy season and I am so beyond blessed to have all the people in my life loving on me and supporting me from both near and far.

Quick life update!

I never thought I’d say I‘m not ready for school to end but with only three weeks left of the term it’s going to be a very bittersweet few weeks to say the least. I have fallen in love with both Monmouth and the West Salem area where I lead wyldlife. I will truly miss the friends, drives, family dinners, sleepovers, bible studies, burrito runs, community and just the day to day life of this sweet small town. Last week I had quite a few cries with my best friend and a few of our mentors about how much I’ll miss this place but those cries made me realize how truly blessed I must be to have something SO good that I can’t help but cry about leaving. God has shown me time and time again why my journey brought me here to Monmouth first before giving me this incredible opportunity and I am so grateful for this year of growth.

In the next few weeks, I plan to soak up every second I have in this community God has placed me in. I hope to end Spring term strong and leave a positive impact on all my friends who I’ll be leaving here in Motown. When the school year ends, it’s going to be a busy summer of preparation. I’ve been given the opportunity to nanny for a family I met here in Salem through young life who has truly touched my heart, so when June 15th hits I will be spending my time with them, until I leave for training camp, to help their family as they help support me for The Race. After that I will be returning to Portland to work and spend as much time with my loved ones as I can while September quickly approaches.

FUNdraising !!

I currently have raised $3,625 since I’ve committed to the race and I am SO thankful for the ways the Lord has showed up through you guys supporting me. With my first deadline of $5,000 quickly approaching, I am just $1,375 short of this and have 23 days to meet my first goal. I’ve seen God provide in crazy ways before and I know that He will continue to bless me in ways I can only imagine. Over the next 23 days I will continue to lay my worries and financial doubts at his feet and find peace in knowing He is a provider. If you’re reading this and are curious how you can help, I am currently selling “He Would Love First” bracelets, as well as a few extra t-shirts I have on hand. I also will begin shopping for my gear needed for this trip soon, so if you feel called to support me in a more hands on way or have any tips on gear I’d love any and all help with that 🙂 If you’re interested, you can find the link to donate above on this blog, you can Venmo me, send me your coffee money or bag up your used pop cans. Whatever you feel called to do but truly, the biggest support I could ask of you guys is prayers for me during these next busy few weeks. Again, my biggest thanks to each and everyone of you for all your support, I couldn’t do any of this without you guys.

Love always,

Cass
