I would like to start by saying “Thank You.”
Thank You to everyone who has supported me in prayer, financially or both. I have an update to offer, and it is hard to type … I had my heart set on leaving for Romania this Saturday but God has different plans for me.
I am not joining my team as they “launch” this weekend. Why?
Well, World Race needs to ensure all of their racers are 100% ready for launch.
Thru ongoing conversations with my World Race leader, it was determined I was not ready. They were right. I need some time to mature and grow my relationship with God. I could use your prayers on that front.
Initially I was disappointed and upset with myself. I feel as though I have let people down. My life plan was derailed and candidly, I didn’t / don’t have a back up plan.
While at training camp, I learned about how difficult it is to fully lean on God and trust him completely. The time I spent between launch and training camp I realized that I really need to work on this part of my faith. I will spend this year working and looking for a church and a Christian community to lean back on in times of weakness.
The money that has already been donated will be transferred to next my launch next year. I would like to thank you again for the wonderfully generous donations and for all of the prayers.
