Recently, I feel like something God has been working on with me is seeing Him in everything. While doing a Bible study, the preacher mentioned that Jesus is similar to a brother in many ways. That really got me thinking about all the times I saw God in my brother.

One time in particular I was especially heartbroken over a boy. I stayed up until he got home from his late shift, and asked him to go for a walk with me so I could talk. As tired as he was, he walked with me while I cried and ranted about this dude. Jesus took the time to love on people, even when he was tired and wanted to find rest.

Another time we were at his college and I got really hungry. He took me to dinner at a really inopportune time, and he was patient with me. Jesus was patient  and understanding with people.

One last example (although there are so many more) he invited me into his couch after I left my boyfriend. I cried and crashed in his apartment, and he just loved me through that. He knew I’d made mistakes, but he loved me and treated me so kindly anyways. Jesus did the same.

Y’all, I’ve been so blessed to have my brother in my life. God truly did me a huge favor when he gifted me Brady.

It’s his birthday tomorrow, so if y’all think of it, wish him a good day! He so deserves it!

Also, look for Jesus in those around you. I promise you He’s there. It’s such a beautiful thing when you look back on your life and see Him in situations you thought you were so alone in.

Playing ball out front, he would always play with me growing up

Us now. We‘ve gotten so much closer over the years, and I’m so thankful for this gem of a brother in my life
