This morning I left my home and life in STL behind for a year. I hoisted my heavy bag on my back and my backpack on my front, and I walked out the door to load up the car. I navigated through the airport by myself *yay adulting* and boarded my flight to Atlanta. I’ll be spending the next few days here for some extra training, then my squad and I will head for South Africa for the rest of the month!

To reunite with people you just met, but have such a tight bond with, is so incredible! We ran, we hugged, we screamed, and we got kicked out of the hotel lobby (oops!) But I’m back with half of our squad today, while the other half shows up tomorrow.

The conversations flowed just like we’d never been apart, and the relationships carried on and have already grown stronger. Dealing with drama, strife, and tribulations is a part of life, but we’re a family and we’re in this together. Crying on the hotel bed, already feeling the heartache of missing home, holding each other close- that’s what this intimate family relationship is all about.

I’m so stoked to welcome the rest of our family here tomorrow, along with my parents for Launch. The growth we’re experiencing in this moment is so vital to our walks with Christ the next year. Please keep my squad in your prayers as we say our final goodbyes and learn how to be independent from our normal lives, and dependent on Jesus.

If you’ve made it this far, you’ll be so excited to hear that I am ALMOST FULLY FUNDED YALL!! We’re about $800 from being 100% funded, which is so incredible and crazy, and such an answered promise from God. If you’d like to help me reach my final goal, you can donate by clicking the orange button at the top right of this page.

Thank you for all your support! This journey has been so crazy, and I can’t believe we’re finally at the launching point. Jesus has placed this incredible dream in my heart, and now He’s sending me off to do His works!
