“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;in all your ways submit to him and he will make your paths straight.”
This verse stands out to me because lately I’ve been filled with the feeling of being unsure. Before you ask; No its not the kind of unsure that I don’t want to do the World Race (because I’m doing this thing!!!) it’s more of a which route do I go. Meaning which three countries will be my home for the 9 months I’ll spend on the race.
There are initially six routes but I’ve narrowed it down to two. I know in my last blog I said route 1 which is Guatemala, Ethiopia, and Thailand but I started looking at other racers blogs and videos of the routes they’ve taken and the two I’m having a hard time making a decision on are the Guatemala, India, and Thailand or the South Africa, Ecuador, and Cambodia.
Now you may be able to see why I’m having a hard time choosing my new homes which I’ll spend three months in each country. Or you could be thinking “I don’t know why she didn’t choose this one yet?!?” I’ve been a little stuck between the two lately because both routes I named have beautiful aspects that I can’t get out of my mind but I don’t want to rush into a decision too fast before I ask God and put my faith in him to steer me in the right direction to which countries need my love and hard work.
So as the verse says “as long as you trust the Lord with your heart and not the judgement in your head he will lead you in the right direction.” I’m going to stop overthinking and listen to God when I lay in bed at night and watch for any sign that shows where he is straightening my path. All I ask for anyone reading my second blog is a prayer for guidance over which route calls my name more and that God leads me to an amazing path!
As an update on fundraising I have earned about $700 on my own from work shifts and babysitting that will be put towards my goal for World Race. I will be continue to raise money myself with the help of lots of extra jobs on the side and donations from any one willing. Any amount helps me get closer to my goal more and more and I am thankful for every generous donation! I’d like to thank my anonymous donor for their donation to my trip it means so much to me that you helped me out, thank you! Thank you so much for anyone who has taken the time to read my blog post, much appreciated.
