Hello! With everything happening lately concerning the coronavirus, our squad is leaving nicaragua this week to come back home to the states. I have no words to explain how absolutely heart broken I am to be leaving this family on such short notice that I have spent the past seven months with. but I know for certain that none of this was a surprise to the Lord, and He is still good throughout it all. Prayers would be greatly appreciated for our squad as we try to make it back to the states this week and as we prepare to say goodbye.
If you know me, you know I am not good with words at all but I just wanted to say a few things about everything that is happening in our world right now so bear with me! While I may not completely understand everything that is happening in america with the coronavirus, I can see the widespread fear it has caused throughout the entire world. with things getting seemingly worse by the day and borders closing and grocery store shelves being completely emptied .. it is so easy during times like these to give into fear. not to be dramatic but from what I’m hearing it quite literally seems like the world is ending. so yeah! naturally it would seem fitting for fear to creep in. but this world is already full of fear-ridden people. I encourage y’all to step outside of your fear and lean into a God who isn’t afraid. who is still sovereign and is still sitting on his heavenly throne. be the kind of person that chooses to see the Lord is the middle of the chaos, because I promise you that he is there. find peace in the fact that the same God that delivered the Israelites out of Egypt, the same God that resided over Noah, Moses, Abraham, and so many others is the same God that resides over you, over me, and over this world. be a beacon of light to others around you and live a life that preaches a message of hope instead of fear. this world needs the light that we have to offer, especially at a time like this! and one last thing- there is so much power in prayer!!!! pray for america. pray for the countries with low quality medical care. pray for those afflicted. pray for our world leaders. I know this is a simple message but I hope and pray that it served as a sweet reminder. thanks for reading and thank y’all so much for following my world race journey! as much as I wish I could have finished out my time here in nicaragua, I know the Lord is preparing me for my next mission field- arlington texas!! love you all and see you soon<3
