a ministry update! My team has been living in chiang mai and doing ministry about 20 min outside the city at a place called connie’s home! no matter how much I explain this ministry, words will not do this place justice. It is truly one of the most intentional, loving ministries I have ever been able to be a part of!

Connie’s home is a foster home run by an incredible american family who truly loves these kids as their parents. Connie and her husband, Richard, partner with governmental orphanages and take in the children that are too sick and unable to thrive in a normal orphanage setting. Currently there are a total of 12 kids living at connie’s home that we have the privilege of loving on throughout the week! They are given the normalcy of a home until they are hopefully one day adopted internationally. The children are split up between the big kids and the babies. Kate and I have been hanging out with the ‘babies’ (two-year olds) during our time there and we spend a majority of the day just simply holding them and playing with them. We also have a morning and afternoon lesson where we teach english and read books over various different subjects! These kids are some of the most well behaved and respectful kids I have ever met. Connie’s heart for these children is so evident in the way that she loves them and also how much they love her. Not only does connie pour into the children that live there, but she also provides work for female juvenile offenders through a work-release program approved by the Thai courts. They live on the property at Connie’s home and they assist with cooking, cleaning, and helping out with the little ones throughout the day! I have loved the relationships that I have built with these women and the children during our time there. Unfortunately, we can only be at connie’s home for a total of three weeks since we do not have a work visa, so we will be switching ministries with another team here in Chiang Mai next week. I will miss my sweet babies and these wonderful women I have grown to know and love so much, but I am thankful to have been able to see little glimpses of heaven here on earth through connie’s home!

prayer requests- for these children to one day be adopted into loving homes where they are taught about Jesus and how much he loves them!! & for us to soak up our last few days there and love on these kids as best as we can!
