Another ministry opportunity that we have had here is being able to go out and evangelize in the community! We have done this in Swaziland, but this past week we were in Pretoria south Africa and had the opportunity to go to an outdoor mall for the purpose of evangelizing. My team and I went to a coffee shop where we sat and talked to our barista, Michelle, and got to know her pretty well. She talked to us about her faith, her schooling, and her dreams in life and through that we were able to pray over her and point her to scripture. It was just a simple, fruitful coffee shop conversation that blessed both michelle and my team!

Evangelism is something that honestly scared me so much before coming on the race. Approaching someone, striking up a conversation, getting to know the person you’re talking to, and then pointing them to Jesus is something that I am definitely not a natural at. However, I have learned that it doesn’t have to be scary. We can walk in confidence knowing that we embody Jesus because his spirit lives in us! Evangelism isn’t just what we do for ministry, but it is a lifestyle. We are called to live a life that points others to their father in heaven by mirroring Jesus and his time spent here on earth serving others!
