There aren’t words to describe the beautiful sunrise and sunset you gave us every morning and every night. There aren’t words to describe the strength of the volcanoes that colored the horizon, or words to describe the brilliance of the valleys that hid between each mountain.
Yes you showed me beauty. But you also showed me love in its purest form.
You have given me family that will always have a piece of my heart. Through them you have shown me the love of the father. From day one they have loved me with open hands knowing I was leaving after 3 months yet they still gave me their all.
You have given me a mentor I know I will have for life, friends I can not wait to see again, and kids that I absolutely love.
I never thought I could love a place so much until I met you.
To Guatemala, thank you. Thank you for lessons learned, memories made, and the fulfilled promise of abundant joy.
