“It’s so cool you are chasing your dreams!” This enthusiastic statement coming from most of the people I tell about the race. But the thing is this wasn’t my dream…
We all grow up and get plagued with question: what do you wanna be when you grow up? My dream was to go to college and to be a physical therapist. So I say that the race isn’t a dream because this wasn’t even in my scope of view for the next step in my life; rather, it’s a calling.
To me, a calling is a lot different than a dream because God is guiding it and putting it on your heart. So in my case, I am following a calling that is fulfilling my dreams of traveling. But, I can’t help but think about all of you.
Yea God is doing great things in my life but how about yours? Sitting down with the Lord and asking him about where he wants you to go and what he wants you to do is low key scary. Because when he does answer, you don’t know what the answer will be and how far out of your comfort zone he will call you. But you can find your calling and chase your dreams too! How?
I triple dog dare each of you to be bold enough to sit with him and ask him where he wants you because at that point you aren‘t dream chasing, you are God chasing.
I can guarantee you won’t ever regret God chasing because sometimes when you chase a dream and you finally come around to doing it, it’s not as fulfilling or life changing as you thought it would be. But God chasing will take you farther, leave you soo full, and change you from the inside out! He will change you so much that at first you might fight your calling and be scared of it and hesitate. I definitely did some of that but it came to a point where I felt it so strong on my life to go that it was undeniable and the beautiful thing is as you align yourself with him, you wouldn’t wanna be doing anything else but the calling he gave you. Granted it’s not at all easy, but I haven’t even left yet and it’s already worth it.
So proceed with caution! And if you dare sit with him and ask, he will answer, and I think it’s sooooo cool you wanna God chase! And one day I can’t wait to share my stories but I can’t wait to hear yours!
