FULLY FUNDED

yep. you read that right. $16,600 once seemed so far away, so unreachable. but God provided big time for me! i’ve actually been fully funded since the first day of launch;; even though i was never worried about the funds coming in, it is so comforting to not have to try to fundraise on the field. thanks God! now a big thank you to all of you…

thank you thank you to every single one of you who believed investing in me was worth it. whether you donated thousands of dollars, five dollars, or bought anything i was selling, it all made a difference! as i sit and reflect on the whole fundraising process the word that stands out to me is “grateful.” i am grateful to have a community that believed in me enough to send me around the world then back again. i’m grateful that God placed people in my life at the perfect moments where i was in need to reach a deadline or make the next one seem not so unattainable. my heart is just so full of gratefulness that you all believed i was capable and adequate enough to make a difference in the lives of people all over the world and most importantly an impact on the kingdom of God.

& FOR WHAT

right now in guatemala i just finished my first full week of ministry! life here is crazy & unpredictable, and i mean it when i say i am loving every second of it. the moments where i snuggle with my teamies in the wobbly bunk beds. the congested chicken bus rides to far and close places. the constant worship in;; coffee shops, central park, churches, while mopping (with brooms), or anywhere and everywhere at the base. each moment is incredibly sweet.

my teams ministry partner, junior, is one of the coolest! his dad owns a church where we work some of the time doing little things like cleaning and painting. junior even started his own church down in antigua. his whole family is very active in furthering God’s kingdom and live lives of faithfulness & obedience. i already look up to them so much!

my team and i get to reach so many different people through the ministry that we are aligned with. once a week we go to the senior citizens home, which has made my heart overflow with joy. this place holds some of the kindest souls. when they smile, there is no way you can’t smile the biggest most genuine smile back. the language barrier doesn’t stop endless tickles, laughs, dance parties, or board games. walking into that place you know that you will get the biggest sloppiest kiss on the cheek, and it just keeps drawing you back for more.

also once a week we teach english at a public school in the town of parramos. my teamie midge and i teach five classes of third graders, and in each class there are 30+ kids! lots of lessons to be learned here both ways!

on thursdays we do ATL. what ATL stands for is “ask the Lord”. so we basically just go to a public place and ask the Lord what he wants us to do for the day and for certain words or people to touch. this week while we were in the park, the Lord gave my teamie the number seventeen. the first number seventeen that popped up was a tuk tuk labeled with that exact number. after talking to the driver of this tuk tuk, he revealed that he was going through some struggles financially and my teamie evelyn got to read some scripture to him and show him a God full of power and deliverance. he accepted Christ into his heart in that exact moment. how cool huh?! a simple number 17 showed this guy a greater life than the one he’s been living. giving him a hope & purpose. so cool to watch this moment unfold.

the Lord is moving here in so many crazy, cool ways. i cannot wait to keep telling you all about it. why he chose me to be part of this? i’m still figuring out right now, but let me just say i am honored! life here is beyond beautiful and i’m trying to soak up every little thing. so yeah! once again thank you to that made it possible for me to say i am FULLY FUNDED! my heart is so full.
