What is the World Race?
The World Race is a part of an organization called, Adventures in Missions. The World Race is an 11 month mission trip to 11 countries. There are multiple routes that people can go on throughout the year. The goal is to personally grow closer to Jesus and share the love of Jesus with people who are in vulnerable situations, hurting, and/or haven’t had the chance to hear about a Savior Who can give them life! What route are you doing?
I am going on the June 2019 Route. There are about 60 other racers on my route. We will be traveling to Guatemala, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Morocco, Ethiopia, Djibouti, India, Nepal, Myanmar, Thailand, and Indonesia. What will you be doing in each country?
In each country, except Djibouti, we will be partnering with organizations and missionaries in the community. Ministry on the World Race will involve building relationships with people in the community, sharing the hope of Jesus with people, praying for the broken and sick, hosting VBS, and helping with construction. Each day could look a little different.
Why are you going on the World Race?
Since 2014, I have felt a strong burden and passion to travel to other nations to share the hope I have found in Jesus. God has been showing me His love for the whole world. He cares for the people of every nation, tribe, and tongue. He has been opening my eyes to injustice in the world. He has been opening my eyes to places that have no or very little access to the good news of Jesus. Also, God is just so worthy to be known! He is the Creator, He is the healer, He is perfect love, He is powerful, He is holy, and He is so gracious. God is working in the world. He calls and welcomes us into His beautiful work of redemption. He doesn’t promise that it will be easy, but He promises to be with us through it all. I am going on this World Race because I feel that God has specifically called me to take part in His work of redemption through the World Race. I am going because Jesus has changed my life and I want to share this amazing love with others. I am going because Jesus is so so good and so so worthy to be known.
How much does the World Race cost and when is your fundraising deadline?
The WR is ($19,200). I need to raise the full amount by (09/30/2019). The money will completely cover all traveling expenses, lodging, food, and insurance. All donations are tax-deductible. Why should I partner financially with you to go on the World Race?
If you have a passion for sharing hope, love, and the good news of Jesus with the countries on the June 2019 route, then I welcome you to partner with me financially. I would love to do ministry with you! Please talk with God and ask if He wants you to partner with me on the World Race. He may be calling you to use your finances to partner with a different organization or a different World Race route, so please do not feel pressured or obligated to specifically partner with me.
What are you most excited about?
Right now, I am excited about a lot of things! I can’t wait to see how God is going to work! I am excited to meet my teammates and live life with them. I am super excited to to experience different cultures and learn from them.
What are you most nervous about?
I am nervous about leaving all of the people that I love and all of the things I am used to at home.
How can I be praying for you?
Prayer is the greatest thing you could do to partner with my team and me! I am sooo thankful for all of your prayers!!
