This week has been one of reminding myself of God’s promises. Life can get crazy with school, work, family, friends, and so many other things that I become overwhelmed. Sometimes I have to take a step back and just remember the basics–the wonderful truths that God gives us—such as the fact that he is almighty, in control, full of love, and active in his children’s lives. Since the beginning of the year I’ve been choosing verses to memorize and the first one I chose was Isaiah 64:4 which says, “For since the world began, no ear has heard and no eye has seen a God like you, who works for those who wait for him!” What an amazing God I serve: one who takes the time to invest in his children and care for them. When life gets crazy and I lose sense of direction, God tells me to wait patiently and let him work. In the meantime, he walks right alongside me. He will be with me through tomorrow, through my exciting journey to Swaziland, and through the rest of my life until I am with him in eternity. And that’s pretty spectacular!
