So as a team we were talking about trying new blog ideas…. one idea that came up was having your team write your blog! I thought hey! Less work for me! Let’s try it!
So I asked my teammates three questions that they all had to answer on their own, in their own words.
Those questions were:
- What was your first impression of me?
- What’s something you’ve learned from me?
- What’s your favorite thing about me?
Those were each of the things I was most curious to hear about from my team. And each of my teammates names are included. I have not read any of these answers. I’m a first time reader as well as all of you. So please enjoy!!

My first impression I had of you at training camp was wow this girl has a lot of energy and is really joyful, and that has not changed. You have taught me a lot about being confident in who you are and staying true to your identity in Christ. My favorite thing about you is your freedom to be yourself. I also love the joy you bring to everyone around you. I’m so glad you are on this team and the friendship we have!!
Lauren Hooks
- What was your first impression of me? Energetic!! Joyful, honest, enthusiastic
- What’s something you learned from me? How to listen more closely and look more deeply for Gods hand in everything. Also that I never want to live in Florida (but very much enjoy visiting)
- What’s your favorite thing about me? You’re fully, wonderfully, unapologetically yourself

What was your first impression of me?
- A light. Joyful. Always smiling.

- That the Holy Spirit can be anything I need him to be. & this trip he’s very much been my comforter.

- Your willingness to love every single person on this team. Whatever they need & whenever you’re always there.

A. That you were super sweet and mildly obsessed with Disney. And then when I met you in person— that you had A LOT of energy.

A. How to be more confident in my beliefs (Just by listening and learning from you).

A. You’ve given me a safe space to be vulnerable, + you give hard answers when it’s needed.

- What was your first impression of me? I was excited to get to know you and excited to see how our friendship will grow over the next 3 months.

- my first impression of zoë was that she was extremely confident and driven.

- i have learned so much from zoë during our short time together. i’ve learned how to not live small, to live a life that is bigger than the world around us.

- my favorite thing about zoë is her ability to be fully herself in every situation, she is unapologetically no matter what is being thrown her way.

I was shook at how much energy she had and could instantly tell that she would bring so much life into this team

Zoë’s confidence and determination! she is so motivated during ministry each and everyday and gives her all in each thing we do

Your constant energy level it’s literally amazing how you never stop

hailey told me about you & i immediately recognized you! thought you were super dope & confident because of the way you carried yourself.

how fight to be yourself regardless of human opinion & without fear of judgement.

ALL OF YOU. everything that makes up who you are is my favorite part.
Ky (my other leader)
- What was your first impression of me? This girl has got some fun energy and I was super drawn to it. Probably cause I’m old and have no energy anymore.
- What’s something you learned from me? That I need to be asking God for some cool new gifts like seeing angels. Also having a love for kids
- What’s your favorite thing about me? Your crazy beautiful smile that carried so much joy. Also the amount of confidence you have in yourself.
