Hey guys, and welcome to my World Race blog!! I’m honored that you decided to take time and check it out! So for starters my name is Zachary Heald and I’m 24 years old. I grew up in Phenix City, AL and I’m sure everyone knows where that is. Okay, in actuality rarely anyone has heard of it but it borders Columbus, GA. My biological parents are foster parents so I had the amazing privilege of living in a foster home where we cared for children that didn’t have a home whether temporarily or long-term. This experience is something that has truly shaped a large part of my life and who I am.
I’m incredibly excited and humbled to be typing this blog right now. Jesus has been doing some amazing things in my life these past few months. I have been working at a bank for the past 4 years and I, like many, thought I just need a decent job that pays good so I can live a comfortable life and be a “good Christian.” Well, let’s just say the Lord had some different plans in mind for me. Thank God His plans are better than my own! I will share more of my story throughout my blog, but mainly you should know that I am absolutely in love with Jesus, I love spending time with my family, and I love spending time in the outdoors and playing sports. I pray that through my story and this upcoming journey that you would connect with the heart of God and your eyes would be turned to gaze upon God in all of His glory!
I’m looking forward to this new adventure and how God will use all of the people that I come into contact with to continue to shape me into the person that the Lord has created me to be!
