A song that I like to listen to, that only the other day I saw the beauty in how it could help someone who doesn’t really know or have the best conception of who The Heavenly Father is, understand who he is.

Here are the lyrics:

You put no heavy weights on me

You say, “Come. Rest and receive”

All of those years I was wounded by religion

You unwind me

You calm all my striving

You lay your peace over me like blankets

You put an end my pretending show

You are the least religious Person that I know

You put no expectations on me

You say, “Son I just want you free”

And all of those years I was wounded by religion

You unwind me

You calm all my striving

You lay your peace over me like blankets

You put an end my pretending show

You are the least religious Person that I know

Meet your Maker

Smiling bright

Meet your Savior

Loves pure light

C’mon and taste the real thing

Feast on life

Jesus, Lover

Drink His wine

Meet your Maker

Smiling bright

Meet your Savior

Loves pure light

C’mon and taste the real thing

Feast on life

Jesus, Lover

Drink His wine

You calm all my striving

You lay your peace over me like blankets

You put an end my pretending show

You are the least religious Person that I know

You are the least religious Person that I know

You are the least religious Person that I know

This song debunks what a lot of people see God as. Rather than a God who condemns us for everything we do wrong, it explains in a beautiful way that he is actually a gentle God. When we feel lost, scared, confused, broken, dirty, or like we’ve screwed up too big, God does not run to judge, he doesn’t say you have to be joyful for Him to love you, he actually says “come as you are”. He says this because He simply wants you. He wants your surrender. He wants to call you child, shower you with his love, and give you peace and direction in your life. Unlike society, or people surrounding you, hiring you, etc. Jesus wants you because you’re you. Not because you’re pretty, not because you’re fit, not because you’re nice to people, not because you’re a hard worker, not because you’re dedicated, not because you’ve proved yourself worthy, not because you do good deeds, etc. There are no expectations, he just wants you to look to him, and surrender. Admit to him that life isn’t easy (he already knows and understands that) and admit to him with your arms open wide that you need help. His arms are open wide, you just need to believe that he is who he says he is, and let him in. Open the door, and invite him to enter your heart, mind, and soul. He is not scared of dirt. I just want you to know, yes you, the person reading, are loved by God. He actually WANTS to be in relationship with you. He WANTS to be your best friend. He says that you are WORTHY of being listened to and he DELIGHTS in listening to you talk to him and he DELIGHTS in speaking to you.

There is so much more to Him, but I just want to make it known to every person reading that he loves you and wants relationship with you.

Now, I hope this spoke to you somehow. Please, if you read this and have ANY questions about following Christ or just any random questions that came up while reading, please message me. I would love to try and help you and give you answers the best that I can. My instagram is @valeriemaddoxx if you want to message me and don’t already know me personally. On the other hand, if you have questions but don’t know who to go to, go to the Bible. It has answers for every question you have and it also has the answers you’re looking for. (and if you don’t know where in the Bible to look at for a specific topic, ask google where in the Bible to look) (OH also, if you don’t have a Bible, the Bible app is free!!! yay!!) 🙂

thanks for reading <3
