So I feel like I have a lot to write about but I realized that I haven’t mentioned much about what I have been up to in Romania as ministry, so I thought I would write a blog about it. My family, friends, and supporters deserve to know what’s happenin, Yano?

So our ministry is evangelism. Throughout these months we’ve built relationships with locals and it’s been really cool to have the hard conversations about Christ over a cup of coffee (usually in Starbucks) with friend’s I’ve made and people I’ve met over these last months. A pattern I have realized in Craiova, Romania is that people are challengers of the gospel, but they’re also not opposed to it. They ask the hard questions and it’s so good because it helps us to grow in our ability to listen to the Holy Spirit, allowing him to lead our conversations. It also reveals the hunger for Christ that is in the hearts of these people. Another ministry we do is pass out bibles or devotional books to people either in a market, neighborhood, or city. I like doing this. There are always people who will sadly reject my offer of a free bible, but the rejection is all worth it when it’s given to a soul that is hungry and eager to learn more about Jesus. We’ve also spent a few Saturday mornings passing out gift bags in the market containing a children’s piece of clothing, a toy, and a hat and/or gloves. Not only do we hand these out to women with children, but we also pass out children’s bibles on these days. People in that market are overjoyed when they receive a bible. When they see us walking in with bibles in hand, some people will rush to us wanting one but they aren’t willing to pay for it. Good news though- they’re free! The simple gesture of handing someone a bible and saying the word “gratuite” (free in Romanian) can shed the brightest light on someone’s day. They truly see the value in God’s word.

We also have began our own youth events every Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday’s, we have a fun game night, and Sunday’s we have our bible study. We are coming up on our third week of doing this. We’ve had a consistent big crowd on Saturdays, but a smaller crowd on Sundays. People truly are receiving the gospel well when it is presented to them. They have a hunger, but nobody to feed them and they’ll need somebody to feed them before they can eat and grow on their own.

What I ask for is prayer as we continue our ministry over this last month in Romania 🙂 thank you & I love u all

Matthew 9:35-38

35 Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
