Hey World,

First blog telling you guys about my upcoming year.  I have been searching for God’s plan in my life.  After many days, weeks, and months of prayer I heard God calling me to serve him on a mission.  I am going on The World Race going to 11 countries for 11 months.  If you think scary, I agree but God will be with me and guide me on this journey.

I am traveling to the 10/40 window.  Where exactly is that you may wonder.  It is where 2/3 Of the world population lives and only 10% have heard of Jesus.  i will be going to China, Nepal, India, Djiboute, Ethiopia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Mongolia.  Amazing places on there own but definitely need christianity introduced to them.

As I get ready to embark on what God has called me to do in the next year I question why me.  Why do you want to send me God?  I don’t have a theology background, I am a sinner, I have a past/ story that I’m not proud of.  So why are you calling me to serve you God?  Truth is I’m exactly the perfect person to send because of my story and how God has loved me regardless of my past.  God has a reason to send me.

This past week I have been doubting myself being able to go on this mission.  Doubting my worth in the spiritual background.  Meeting with Pastor Aaron this week he has eased some tension.  He reminded me of my favorite passage in the Bible.  Becoming fishers of men, which is our responsibility as Christians.  Why did Jesus chose Peter as his first disciple?  Peter was a fisherman, he wasnt a scholar or a  pharisees.  What Peter had was an empty fishing boat to cross the sea.  I see this as the same reason as why me, while I am not a scholar or  theological I have exactly what God needs.

thanks for joining me on this journey and for now God bless.  Love Tristen
