When I found out that there were 46 people on my squad I became overwhelmed like super quickly. So at training camp I felt relieved when I got to meet my team of eight that I do ministry with everyday. We decided on a team name, and call ourselves radiate. I didn’t think I could ever feel so loved and accepted in such a short period of time, but here we are just like a little family. It’s been so cool to do life with these seven other girls. Having people who call you higher, and point you back towards Jesus everyday has been such a gift. So here’s a little get to know my team blog.
Eva: This girl is so strong, gentle, and creative. She has a way about her that makes me feel so comfortable and at home. I love how she has continued to seek the Lord and almost every conversation we have had is always centered around Jesus. She is a lifelong friend.
Sydney: Syd has the most gentle heart I have ever met. She delivers everything with kindness, and gentleness. She has a super unique style, and truly radiates the love of Jesus right off of her.
Cece: This girl is crazy. She makes even the serious talks fun and is always willing to have a solo dance party. She brightens the room when she walks in. Cece says kids ministry isn’t her favorite but she actually is so loving an intentional with all of the kids that we meet. She has such a big heart for others.
Sadie: Sadie Mae is wise beyond her years. She is bold, and a great person to point you back to Jesus. She is a natural teacher. I see how intentional she is with every woman she meets. The go-go’s (grandmas) love her at our carepoint. I love that Sadie loves a good afternoon nap just like I do.
KC: Sweet girl KC is a perfect mix of spunky and sweet. She is a natural born leader, and one of the coolest gals I’ve met. I love seeing her lead worship, womens ministry, and songs at the carepoint. She is always willing to step in and do hard tasks for the team.
Hannah: Hannah Banana, biggest weirdo I know. This girl is so full of Jesus and has such a joyful spirit. She shares His love everywhere she goes. I love how her laughter is contagious and she makes everyone feel so welcomed and loved.
Elena: E-L-E-N-A is the biggest sweetheart. She’s our team leader and will only be with us until we leave Swaziland. She has a way of gentleness and love to everything she does. She loves others and has served our team so well. Elena is one of the most wise friends I have. She is always there to build us up and call us higher. This girl also makes a mad pb&j. I can’t imagine our team without Elena. Love you girly.
