1 Peter 5:8 ‘Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.’ Listen up guys, we have an enemy who’s number one goal is to destroy us. It’s important to remember this in order to equip us for a battle. Do you ever feel like your never good enough, worthy enough, or Christian enough? Well that is the devil telling you these lies. He wants you to believe him. He wants you to feel weak and discouraged. When one starts to do God’s work especially, the devil tries even harder to defeat you. I have been through this. Sometimes I feel like I’m not good enough or worthy enough to fulfil what Jesus has called me to do for the mission field. But then I stop that thought process and remind myself that those thoughts aren’t true. That isn’t what Jesus thinks of me. It’s so important to recognize that those dark thoughts are not coming from the Lord. Deuteronomy 31:6 ‘Be strong and courageous!’ Friends, if you are going through a battle just pray. Jesus hears you and He will get you through it like He did for me. He will go before you in every battle.
