Hey friends!

I’m in Asia still, I am doing ministry in Thailand currently. The past few months have been full of many obstacles and challenges. My team and I have been through the fire and are being refined through our sufferings.

Month 5 was the month of January. During our time in January we moved to Thailand from our previous country. We had midpoint debrief for a week with our whole squad where we worshiped and processed and celebrated making it to the halfway point in our Race!

At the end of the week of debrief my team moved to a village in Thailand outside a town called Chiang Dao. I had to stay back in the city of Chiang Mai for a week longer because of medical complications. During this time I was alone with Jesus a lot of my days and it was amazing. I was able to spend my days in prayer and worship just growing closer with my Abba. When I arrived in the village with my team I quickly fell in love with the place we were living and the family that was hosting us. Picture this, the most beautiful 95 year old Karin woman holding your hand every time she sees you, speaking endless Karin to you, tho she knows you don’t understand a word she says, and just simply loving you through wanting to be with you. A loving Karin family cooking your meals and providing you with a place to live, so welcoming, caring, and beautiful. They love Jesus too. These are just a few of the beautiful things we got to experience and love while living in the village. I was only there for two weeks and this family and their two kittens absolutely stole my heart. Some things went wrong in the village with lack of ministry and some other dynamics that caused us to be moved from the village back to the city. After only two weeks of experiencing the love of this beautiful family it was super hard and heartbreaking to leave. God showed me how to be hopeful in trials through this hard situation.

We moved to Chiang Mai month 6 with 3 weeks left in Thailand. Here in Chiang Mai we began a new ministry working for Free Burma Rangers. We have been going around town looking for businesses to sponsor the Run for Relief and hanging up fliers to spread the word about this 5k fundraiser for the ministries established to give medical aid to the people of Burma through Free Burma Rangers programs. FBR has many programs such as a medical school, training Rangers to protect the people, training the people of Burma to run Incase the Burmese army attacks the villages, helping the internally displaced people of Burma, and bringing schooling and medical care to the people of Burma. They also go on mission to many different countries including Syria, Sudan, India, and Iraq. They’re heart is for internally displaced people to have their stories shared, to empower and equip the people, and shine a light on situations where human rights are violated. They want to bring Help, Hope, and Love to all the people they encounter. It is an honor to work for such an incredible organization. Their movie has just shown in theaters in the states this week. I haven’t seen it yet, but will be shown it on Friday and I’m so excited.

This is our last week here in Thailand we will be leaving March 2nd and heading to Nicaragua. It will take our squad a few days to get there, we will be stopping in Miami, FL on the 3rd from 3pm til 6am on the 4th so if you happen to be in town let me know!

This next week is gonna be a big travel week! I’m excited for what’s to come! Nicaragua is a place that stole my heart on my first international missions trip in 2016. I am very excited to go back and spend time with people I love from Nicaragua and build new relationships there. Please pray for safe and healthy travels for my squad and with all to go smoothly!

Thanks!
