Hello!!!

Launch has happened and we are off and currently on day 3 of world race and day 3 also of travel. We left our hotel at 10am on Monday. We took a shuttle the airport, chilled, a train from the airport to the bus station, and an overnight 15 hour bus ride from Atlanta to DC. In DC we took a couple of hikes to different bus stops and train stations and Eventually arrived at the airport sleep deprived and hungry Tuesday around 4:30 pm, we went through security and got food, we then took off at 8:30ish pm DC time. We have just landed our 12 hour flight from DC in Qatar. It is 4pm here and 9:25 am on Wednesday at home. We will be boarding our next flight to South Africa at 8:40pm here which is 1:25 pm Atlanta, Georgia time. We will have another overnight flight but only 9 hours this time to South Africa, when we land in South Africa we will be getting on 10 hour ish bus ride south from Johannesburg, South Africa to Swaziland!!! Will should arrive sometime tomorrow, hopefully!

I wasn’t planning on posting this but felt compelled to share hese words bellow some are silly some are truth and spiritual lessons. It was just sort of a journal entry I made over the past few travel days and shows the real ness of these first few days of World Race. Enjoy!

What travel day 1 taught me:

I’m not the best at Dutch blitz

Thrift everything because the expensive things will still break (aka my duffle bag for WR)

Junk food + travel + no sleep = heartburn

Bad situations are not always bad, just chill.

No expectations.

Be flexible, circumstantially and physically (them packs are heavy and lifting them from the ground ain’t easy).

Learn to climb over endless luggage…

Use the back stairwell on the bus.

Sleep on the floor of the bus, it is the comfiest and warmest place.

Giving your “yes” to thoughts that are in opposition to God’s thoughts is giving the enemy territory in your mind to come into your life and steal, kill, and destroy. It’s serious stuff people. Taking your thoughts captive is not a joke. Only truth should have your “yes”.

Day 2:

You truly can survive on no sleep.

Sweating one second and freezing the next is a typical on the World Race.

Qatar airlines is fancy and their food/gifts are great!!!

Be you. God made you. Don’t worry about others opinions because the enemy is probably trying to lie to you about what you think they think which creates a false reality.

Grow in who God says you are and become

Wearing a buff for 14hours is likely to result in a headache… or maybe it’s from hitting my head on the bus last night…

Metal coffee mugs are hard to find on the go.

God is good, all the time.

Day 3:

Learning to be a disciple who doesn’t count the cost because no cost is too great to trade for the greatest price of Jesus. And learning the cost of discipleship on a small scale comparatively by 4 days of travel with only naps for sleep.

Joy in sufferings. We get to be up for the majority of these four days to serve the Lord. God you are so good.

Supernatural resources of energy, physical, emotional, and spiritual strength.

Things are coming full circle. At the beginning of 2nd semester of Bible college in January/February I was introduced to the song “Do It Again” which says things like:

“Your promise still stands,

Great is your faithfulness, faithfulness,

I’m still in your hands,

This is my confidence

You’ve never failed me yet.”

“I know the night won’t last,

your word will come to pass,

My heart will sing your praise again,

Jesus you’re still enough,

Keep me within your love.”

and I had to speak that song over second semester having a hard time believing the Lord was gonna do even more abundantly miraculous things 2nd semester than first. And He was FAITHFUL. So again at the end of 2nd semester I began to hear this song and I had to speak it over Summer and World Race because Bible College would’ve been my human first choice but God knew better and I trust him. He has already proved himself FAITHFUL AGAIN. And has done so much healing through World Race preparation and as I’m on the plan on my first flight of World Race and my first time flying across the Atlantic Ocean I listen to this song AGAIN. BECAUSE ABBA I BELIEVE ILL SEE YOU MOVE MOUNTAINS AGAIN!!!! Walking into this season declaring faith and fires in the souls my teammates by the power of the Holy Spirit and in the name of Jesus that is above all other names!!!

Much love!

Thank you for your cares and support.

Will be posting as soon as I am able! (That might not be for a month will see) WiFi is my only way to communicate so will see.
