This past week my team and the guys team have been in the middle of nowhere is a small village of India. It’s a place that has brought so much joy and peace to us all. This last week together has been a true blessing for us and I’m excited for you to see a little of what we’ve done.

We started our week by going to the local church. Before church we went to Rachel’s house to borrow some of her skirts for us to wear. These skirts were so beautiful and helped us blend into the culture a little more. This would also be the start of a great friendship with her. Without question she welcomed us into her home, let us wear her skirts, and helped us when they would fall down (Indian skirts are hard to tie up). We continued on from her house to go to church. Now walking much slower since the skirts were difficult to walk in. At church we got to share a testimony with them and sing a song to worship together. They sang and danced as praise to the lord. We joined in and danced around in a circle in our skirts. It was then I felt so at peace. What an awesome God we serve and community we get to be apart of.

The next day we got to help move dirt for the construction of a dorm room for students at the local school to stay in. This day was filled with conversations about life and the lord, bringing us as brothers & sisters in Christ closer.

For the following 2 days we taught English at the local school. This was a day of singing songs and playing games with the children. These days for me were exhausting and difficult but worthwhile and fun. We tried playing duck duck goose with the class but as we explained the game I slipped and face planted into the mud. Over half of the school saw and laughed. Thankfully I was able to join them and laugh at myself. We quickly moved to a new game.

Our last day here we went to a water power plant. We tried fishing but didn’t have any luck. But we skipped rocks into the water and sat in the presence of the lord for awhile.

An Absolutely breathtaking view. Before leaving the guard said we could go into the power plant and see the big machines that created the power. They gave us hard hats and lead us in. How crazy. We don’t deserve any of this treatment but they graciously welcomed us.

This village is my favorite place I’ve been so far. I wish I could explain to you exactly what it’s like to be here. How beautiful it is and how crazy ministry really is. However, there aren’t words for any of it.

I am only $299 away from being FULLY FUNDED! the lord is so faithful and I know he will provide the rest. If you feel called to donate you can do so here??
