The craziness of Training Camp

The past 10 days I spent in Gainesville, Georgia at a training camp for The World Race. I wanted to share with you just a few of the incredible things I learned while there.

 

1. The World Race is definitely where God wants me right now.

2. God gives our own songs to sing.

3. My squad is for sure the best.

4. My stomach shrank from living off of Clif bars.

5. It is important to pray for thunderstorms in order to sleep inside.

6. The Holy Spirit’s voice always aliens with God’s word (The Bible).

7. Every night I heard “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus” being yelled to a bug. (Normally they didn’t leave)

8. We are so free in our faith.

9. I want to look more like Jesus.

10. My home is found in him alone. I am incredibly grateful for the changed definition of ‘home’.

11. God speaks through us to others and it is incredible to witness.

12. Jesus is so powerful & I am overwhelmed by his beautiful name.

13. God has BIG plans for my squad, we are now going to Malaysia along with Thailand, India, and Costa Rica.

14. God isn’t safe, but he’s so so soooo good.

15. We are Men & Women of honor.

16. I can eat bugs without puking.

17. God strengthens us even if it is just to make it up a hill.

18. I am in this not for myself, but to give all the glory to God.

19. God doesn’t save us to go to heaven, he saved us to be uncomfortable in order to further his kingdom.

20. Nothing compares to God.

21. Bucket showers are oddly amazing!! (Until you find poop on the ground)

22. God is incredibly freeing.

23. Porta potties fill up fast.

24. No prayer is too big for God.

25. God physically heals without hesitation if you have faith.

26.  I need to trust the Holy Spirit & stop protecting my own reputation.

27. I don’t serve a silent God.

28. Tent sleepovers with Sam are way more fun than sleeping with the bugs.

James 1:2-3 says “Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. 

29. Universal reconciliation for Universal worship.

30. Finding a marshmallow with you mouth in a bowl of flour isn’t too bad until you choke on the flour.

31. There are over 7,000 languages. Revelation 7:9-10 God cares for us and & wants us united.

32. The evidence is all around that the spirit of the Lord is good. That’s a good song.

33. Forgiveness paves the path to your future with Christ.

34. Space buns are the style

35. A willing spirit is all we need

36. I love, Holy Spirit convicts, Jesus saves, & God judges

God is crazy cool in the ways he works and this is only the beginning of my journey. I am so excited for the experiences I have in my near future. I am glad to have you along for the journey as you read my posts. I am so grateful for everyone’s support.
