Happy Turkey Day!!! It’s my first real holiday away from home. I’m not going to lie, it was weird but it was unforgettable. I got to spend Thanksgiving in Africa with some of my best friends, you can’t get any cooler then that!

I decided it would be sweet if I wrote a huge list of all the things I’m grateful for. So here goes nothing:

God (duh.)

My family and friends back home

My supporters and the people that keep up with all the things I’m doing over here.

My amazing team and my mega team (Refinement and Abide)

My squad and my leadership team

Impact Africa (the ministry I’ve been with the past two months) and my amazing ministry hosts.

Other World Racers that get it (shout out to team LIT!!!)

My home Church

Ice cream

Coffee (my addiction has only gotten worse, people, it’s a code red)

Washer and driers ( you don’t know what you have until you don’t have it anymore)

FaceTime audio

Getting to unpack and live in one spot for a few weeks

Pool parties and dance offs (shout out to my boys on team abide)

The few times I got to use the bathroom without being walked in on

AC

Shelves to unpack in (throwback to my “Little Things” blog or whatever it’s called)

Ice water

Evangelism

The app Marco Polo

Clothes freshening spray

Corporate worship

And of course, free clothes (I’m on that World Race budget)

I can probably think of a bunch of other things I’m thankful for but these are the first few things that came to mind.

So my time in South Africa is coming to a close, the next time I post a blog, I will most likely be in Ecuador! It’s crazy to think that my first leg of the World Race Gap Year is over! The Lord has been so good these past three months. I’ve learned so much and I’m so excited and expectant for what the Lord has in store for my next country.
