Hello family and friends! I decided to write a more light-hearted blog introducing my sweet team. Let me clear this up first: I have what’s called a squad, which is 33 people (40 people with Squad Leaders and Alumni Team Leaders) and then I have my team of 7 girls. I am with my team pretty much 24/7. We live together and do all of our ministry together. It’s like my little family.
This first month has been an all squad month which has been so sweet to live together but for month 2 and 3 my team and boys team are moving to Johannesburg.
Now for my team, our team name is team refinement. At training camp my Alumni Team Leader felt the Lord put the word “refined” on her heart for our team. We’re still working on understanding why God gave us that word but it’s been a fun journey so far.
The first person I’d like to introduce is my amazing ATL (Alumni Team Leader), Acacia. Since she already did the race last year she will only be the team leader for the months that we’re in South Africa but we try not to think about it. Acacia is the sweetest, most intentional person I have ever met. She cares so much about getting to know every little detail about us and I think that is so amazing.
Next is Harleigh. Harleigh is the first person I connected with at Training Camp. She is goofy and creative and just a fun person to be around.
Next is Colby. Colby is the self proclaimed grandma of the team. She is such a kind-hearted, gentle woman of God. She is always a safe person to talk to and is full of wisdom.
And then we have Anna Scott. Our little ball of joy. Anna is always willing to do something fun and try new things. She’s the kind of girl that can make friends with anyone and love them so well.
After that we have Reagan. One of the most dedicated and passionate people I have ever met. She is always down to have a deep conversation or a dance party. Also she has the most contagious laugh ever.
Finally we have Anna Wilkerson. She is such a good example of beauty and grace. She is so passionate about praising God with her amazing musical ability.
